HSC Updates!

Dear HSC Families,

Can you believe it’s already the final marking period of the year? This is an exciting time, AND a chance to create a strong and positive ending to an incredibly challenging year.

Our biggest news to share with you is that the hybrid option has been replaced with four days of in-person learning a week. To facilitate this shift, we will be using the 6-foot distancing guidelines when feasible. Please note, however, that there will be times when it is not possible. As always, we will follow CDC and district guidelines.

Students who are currently remote will remain that way, and students who are currently hybrid (attending 2 days a week) will change to four days of in-person learning a week. There will not be a new survey, but if you would like to switch your child from in-person to remote, please reach out to Jess Domotor at 475-220-6227 or

As we enter the final quarter, we also want to remind you that to earn credit in a class at HSC, students must earn at least a 2.5 for the year (OP, which means “on pace,” on progress reports). Students who do not earn a 2.5 for a course will need to attend summer school or repeat the class. If you are seeing grades of 2, 1.5, or 1 for any of your child’s classes on this report card, this is reason for concern. Please reach out to their teachers if you would like information about how to best support your child in a specific class. There is no automatic promotion in high schools, so it is VERY important that students earn their credits. Students who are struggling should attend Eagle Blocks and should email their teachers with any questions they may have.

We will be providing additional information for 12th grade families soon, but we want to let you know that seniors should turn in their devices at the end of the year, that we are working to plan a fun senior celebration, and that graduation will take place on June 15 at 10 a.m. Tickets to graduation will be limited, but we will make sure it’s still a special event for our students.

Please, as always, reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
